I am wriitng this becaseu I am staying at home with my son until January (hopefully longer). I have a 4 and 1/2 yr old girl too. I have been sending her to preschool 4 days a week, but I am wondering if I should not be spending more time with her. I think that she needs school, but maybe she can go 3 days instead of 4. She is a bright girl who will be just fine academically but I wonder what is best for her right now.I am also feeling a little sad that ia am sending her to school when I am home and this will be the last chance I get to spend time with her before she starts kindergarten. HELP. my husband disagrees and feels that she should be in school 4 days as long a swe can afford it. What is a mom to do?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
It is important for kids to have a set rutene and stability. To take her out of school now would disrupt that rutine and make it harder for her to go back to school later.
Keep her involved with the new baby when she is home, make her Mommy's little helper. But her school time is just hers and make her feel she is special because she can go to school.
I feel if you keep her home for a couple of months it will be hard on both you and her when she has to go back to school.
Just an OLD DAD's opinion.

The main thing we have to consider is the kids. If you need to cut back to 3 days that should be OK. But don't take that school time away from her. She needs some time that is just hers and doesn't have to share with a sibling. She will do enough sharing at home.
Do not make it harder on yourself and on her by taking too much time. Let her stay home for a week or two at first to help Mommy. Then send her back to school.
