Honestly I just love to go grocery shopping by myself. Isn't that sad? I actually like doing that...as long as I can really browse through the aisles and get everything I need. Whereas shopping with the family, I get so distracted.
I would guess that your last vacation to Savanna was before you had kids. You can't get that time back, not for at least 20 years.
You can however build new memorable vacations. You can go to many vacation spots where they have good daycare so you and hubby have time alone. Other than that, enjoy the things yoiu can do with the kids. All of you will have lifetime memories to share.

And what's up with these kids and the telephone radar? I can make a call from the back of my closet on the third floor in a whispering voice and they will hone in on me in 30 seconds flat and start talking to me.
I'll tell you something a friend of mine tried when her kids wouldn't shut up while she was on the phone. She locked her kids outside. Later a neighbor said "I saw your kids crying and banging on the door earlier." She said "Yeah, I locked them out."
