I took my 4 year old to the docter yesterday becouse it looked like she had put something in her ear she has only complained the day before that her ear hurt. The docter looked in her ear then tryed to scape some of the stuff out needless to say she screamed, the dr looked at it and told me it was puss and that her eardrum had possible ruptured. He also told me that sometimes it will heal back on its own. Does anyone know what will happen if it doesn't heal. I feel like A horible mom for not knowing that she had an ear infection in the first place, but she is the type of child that never has any symptoms of an infection when she gets one which makes it that much harder to know!!!
