We are headed into the winter months and I'm wondering whether anyone has any unique ideas for
activities to do at home to keep us from going stir-crazy. I am one of those people that gets a little "blue" when I don't see the sun for a while. ( I really just need to move to a warmer climate.) Suggestions??

Even if it's cold we still find tons of things to do as a family. Our town has plenty of christmas advents and we go to every one. We also make edable ordaments for wild animals like strings of popcorn and crackers apples to put under. Then we go to our favorite sledding spot and decorate a tree for the animals. Also once a week we will do a neat craft, and play games or rent a family move. There is lots of things to do if you put your mind to it. Be creative, kids love that ;)

We have a great hill beside my house for coasting...we have coasting parties on the weekends. We invite a couple of our friends and families down and have a great day of coasting, we BBQ some hot dogs and have hot chocolate. The kids have a blast and the parents too.

I get down the same as you do without the longer days. Sometimes I feel guilty because I dont' want to take my son out to play cause I feel like I just want to curl up on the couch or something. It's good for both of you to go outside even for a little while just to get some fresh air and enjoy the snow. Our favorite thing is building snow forts which is fun because you can get creative and every day build a little more... like an ongoing project. When the sun IS shining and we've played outside we grab the car matt and pull it over to where the sun is shining through the window and play there.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
