My son doesn't drink enough milk. He actually doesn't get enough fluids. I give him something to drink and he leaves it set for hours.
When I started him on milk when he was an infant he had diarehha for like a whole year and the doctor said since he wasn't gassy it couldn't be that he was lactose intolerant. She kept telling me to give him pedialyte. After the pedialyte was gone, he would just get the diarehha again. So my neighbor suggested lactose-free milk. It was a miracle. I was just waiting to tell the doctor how wrong she was.
But after he turned 2 and a half, I gradually switched him to milk and he is fine. But he never liked the taste of the lactose free milk, and now doesn't drink milk like he should. Any suggestions on the milk?
Any suggestions on the fluid intake?

if he will drink other liquids you can get calcium from cheese and ice cream. My son had similar issues but is 4 and ok now. The chocolate milk idea is good too. work for us, and it is worth the sugar to get the fluids. does he eat well?

LOVE the chocolate milk Idea...dont forget to give him some vitamines as well...I did not have a hydration problem until my twins went to school, now my daughters lips are chapped and their BM is pretty solid...Havent tried this, but make really rich chocolate milk and freeze it on a stick...instant semi healthy popscicle...but, dont forget, ladies, that the brain NEEDS sugar to grow and flow information...ummm hello doesnt anyone else besides me crave chocolate...we all need sugar...LOVE the chocolate milk thing, plus if you make it with him it will be fun for him too...But I guessed the lactose thing right away...have you tried soy or organic...my kids only drink organic,,,they can taste the difference...good luck..

I alternate with chocolate soy milk, almond milk and regular milk with ovaltine mixed in and they love it, as long as it's chocolate flavoured they gulp it down. It's all about trying different things and seeing what works for him, I used to tell my girls how important milk is for our bones that it will make them grow nice and strong and the protein is important for the muscles so they could run and excersice and play alot, try giving him incentives to why milk is good for him.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
