Hi there. I have a 4 year old daughter who started preschool this past March. She is learning to write pretty quickly. Knows how to write her name, last name, mommy, daddy, sissy, our full names without ANY help. However my concern is that sometimes she will write our last name backwards. Also for example, sometimes only some letters are backwards "P" as in "q"... etc. When we try to correct her..she tells us that we have it wrong. LOL Could this be an early signs of Dyslexia? How early can this be diagnosed? As far as reading...she obviously cannot read. She can distinguish what letter some words start with, so she tries to pronounce the word letter by letter. She LOVES being read to...and loves her books. We also do flash cards..(totally her idea)Some has picures on it and some without. All in all my husband worries that she might be Dyslexic. Should I be too?
