My five year old just started kindergarten and seems to enjoy school. He has made a few close friends and loves his teacher. The thing that concerns me is that when I ask him about school each evening he tells me that so and so hit him or scratched him...this is starting to become a regular thing and the same names are coming up.I asked the teacher about this at the begining of the year and was told there was not a problem.Today my son came home with a scratch over his eye.I asked him where it came from and again the same names came up.He said he told his teacher and the boys were made to sit in time out.I feel as if the teacher should have called me or sent a note home with him letting me what happened and what was done..I have a conference scheduled next week so I am going to adress this.My question to all of you is if your child is scratched or hit at school do you feel that you should be made aware immediately or should it be left up to the teacher to handle it?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
this was happening to my 6 yr old on the bus. almost everyday he'd come home and tell me so&so hit him. i talked to the bus driver and she basically didnt care. So one morning we were outside waiting for the bus and the bully is at the bus stop. so i said to my son very loudly if anyone hits you today you beat the snot out of them. Now my son wouldn't really do that he's a bit sensitive but that kid hasn't touched him since.
