I was wondering if at some point babies stop putting everything into their mouth? My son just started crawling (almost 7 months old) and he just grabs everything and puts into mouth. I am constantly watching over his hands and mouth. He has a paci, which he can't do without, but he knocks it out pretty quickly if he manages to grab some paper and then into mouth it goes. I would like to take him to parks and introduce him to grass and leaves and the sand on the beach, but I can just see all this going into his mouth. I'm very scared he'll put something there that can either choke him or infect him. I mean, the grass is probably treated with pesticides or peed on by dogs. What do other people do? Does this behavior lessen some time? Thanks!
