I know weaning means different things in U.S.A and UK so i mean in the sense of starting solid foods not completely cutting out breast milk or formula. Harriets suffering from reflux and the proffessionals reckon that solid foods help that a whole lot. The current guidelines are to start solids (baby rice and sloppy jar foods etc) at 6months and no younger. However all the major baby food ranges are suitable from 4 months, I know I was weaned at 3 months and my nan had my brothers on baby rice and risks at 3 weeks! Times change I know but We are starting Harriet on gentle solids such as Baby rices and cereals made with ehr milk at 4months to the day! What have been your experiences with weaning, did you wait til 6months or go early?
