Question about starting vegetables

Jen2279
My son is 5 1 /2 months old and I want to start vegetables in the next couple of weeks. He's been on rice cereal and now oatmeal since he was a little over 4 months. I recently started giving him oatmeal twice a day and he really likes it. I think he's ready to try some veggies soon. My question is, is it fine to just give him the vegetable or is it necessary to mix it with some rice cereal at first? Thanks everyone!

i would try peas to start. they are easier to start with and then slowly work up to other veggies. try one veggie at a time for a couple of days before you start another one
