Overweight baby...so they say

My daughter is almost 6 months old, and her peditrician says she is in the 90% for becoming overweight. To me she is a healthy beautiful baby. She is already crawling, sitting up by herself, and playing with toys. She also just got two teeth in for christmas!! She is really long for her age, and i consulted with another doctor who said she was perfect.Just in case she is a little over weight, is there any safe way to help her lose a little weight? I don\'t want to affect her health in any way, but i am concerned with the risks an overweight baby can have with childhood diabetes ect. I would appreciate any advice you have. Thanks, Jennifer

Today is my 25th birthday, to my somewhat lack of surprise I can see already no one really seems to care. I've always been the kinda person to make sure that everyone I Care about feels appreciated and knew somebody had their back. I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...
I don't think that you should worry about the weight until the baby is on solid foods, then follow the adviceof your pediatrician.
I have 9 mo old twins...
my son is slender and hardly has anything that would resemble a roll on him....
my daughter has rolls everywhere!!
they eat the exact same diet, the exact same amout, at the exact same times....
I have them on such a schedule that they even POO at the same time (within 10 minutes--perfect changing time even if its messy and I have to bathe the 1st)
are you seeing my point?
all children are different. there shouldnt be any concerns especially since your child is also hitting milestone markers.
(me personally-- I would never consider restricting an infant from nourishment)
good luck to you
I like that saying. I'm from the US
Are you nursing? Did he ask?
Okay.. my daughter is really tall and heavy, but the doc says she is perfect. No worries for a while (until after walking) He is also supreised that a baby so large on the scale is already trying to walk.
I nurse my girl. She is in the 120% of height and weight. Her weight is just now starting to slow down (still heavy- not fat).. look at my pics.
Anyway. My doc has dedicated his life to kids, not just 9-5. He only suggested to keep juice and fruits and rice cereals to a minimum. He said more veggies. He suggested not to give her too many empty calories. But he was not worried one bit!!
She is 9 months now, 31.5 inches tall, and 26 pounds. Active active active!!!
You should slap that doc in the mouth... then again, he was probably just worried.
