Nights of the living dead

my son is eight weeks old. he is bottle fed and last week for the first time he slept from 11 pm until 6:30-7 am for three straight nights, which was great, since i had to start back to work this week. now, of course, since i am back to work, he is back to his old routine, which involves waking up at about 3:30-4 and wanting fed. however, he only takes about 3 ounces and goes back to sleep. he is up until 11pm or even midnight and he takes a good bottle right before bed (at least six or seven ounces). he does not sleep a lot during the day---as a matter of fact, he only took two naps yesterday not totaling more than an hour either time. i have to be up for work at 6:15 and i feel like the walking dead. my ped. won't let me add anything to his formula but i am at my wits end. i get frustrated at night because he doesn't want to go to bed and i can't understand how he could possibly wake up with the small amount of sleep that he is getting. i am so desperate for help it's not even funny. if anyone has any suggestions, i would be so thankful.

Have you got a vibrating chair/bouncer thing? My daughter seems to be on the same feed schedule as your son. She usually eats around 8:30, then isn't due again till 12:30 and doesn't want to sleep before then, but i've found that if i put her in her bouncer with the vibrate setting on, and giver her her pacifier/dummy she's out like a light, then i can put her in her crib and lately she's actually skipped that feed and sleeps through till either 3 or 4 in the morning, or sleeps right through if she ate later than 8:30. Maybe i'm just lucky? but its worth a try i guess.

yeah my son was waking up every two hours till he was 2 months old.then he started sleeping 10 to 12 hours a night. the best thing i found is playing alot with him during the day. and when he woke up i fed him and immediately put him back to sleep. but i did also let him slep on his back. i watched him carefully too. but he had a good strong neck and he can support it on his own since he was a month old. now he is 10 months old and he takes one 4 hour nap and goes to bed after his daddy gets home from work at 1am. and sleeps till 12pm. and most of the time we have to force him to wake up. but he is a very energetic lil man. but hang in there, it will get better

Everyone may disagree with me but i put a litlle tiny bit in her bottle at night. It may cause a little gas or constipation but it helps her sleep.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
