My son is eight months old and, though it might be a little early to be thinking about this, I've been intermittently trying to introduce lumpy and finger foods. He crawls well and pulls up to standing, so I figure, physiologically, he's ready, but he just gags whenever anything not almost liquid is put in his mouth. He doesn't try to gum his food at all. I was just wondering when any of you started finger/lumpy foods, and how you did it.
