Feeding your infant and ensuring they are getting enough nutrition is one of the most important aspects of parenting during that first year. This community is dedicated to those who are nurturing a baby, whether breastfed or formula-fed.
I pay attention to his cues. When he starts to rub his eyes or gets cranky, it is time for a nap. I rarely put him down asleep. I put him in his bed, turn on his mobile, and he falls asleep on his own. I don't know, maybe I am lucky I got a good sleeper.
Although he doesn't do well when we are out visiting or running errunds and he doesn't do well when we have company because he is afraid he will miss something. I suspect having twins complicates issues since they know how to keep each other awake. If they are keeping each other from sleeping, have you tried seperating them. I would also just put them in their cribs and let them learn to go to sleep on their own. Of course, you may have to start with assisting them by putting a binky back in their mouths, patting backs, ect. to help them fall asleep. Or the other option is to let them cry it out. You can also put them in their beds when they need a nap and don't force them to sleep, but they need some quiet time which often leads to them falling asleep. Hope some of these ideas help. Hugs, Star
I guess the only thing I can say is to stay flexible. It's got to be pretty tough with two :) I'm pretty sure it will get better. Of course, I can only say this in regard to that's what happened with my older daughter. With my little one, it's a constant surprise with what she's going to do. Good days, bad days, some in the middle. Never know what to expect.
Take care.
