cord stump still attached??

ardua
My baby is 1 month old today and his umbilical cord stump hasn't fell off yet? Should I be worried? I clean it often each day with the alcohol like they said but it doesn't look anywhere near ready to fall off. I read online that if it wasn't off my one month to let your peditrician know?? What do you guys think?

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. On the talk show the "doctors" a couple of weeks ago, the peditrician one was saying that they no longer reccomend cleaning with alcohol...but I can't remember the reason why.
But, as long as it doesn't look infected, I think you're good. Towards the end Grace's was like on by like a string and I would clean under it and everything with the q-tip, but did NOT pull at it at all or anything.
If it goes another week, I'd call your pediatrician...just to make sure.
I would call the doc and let them know that the stump hasnt fallen off yet.
