My little girl will be 2 months on Nov.11 and just about every 3 days she has a hard time trying to poop (she goes once a day) she strains really hard and when she finally does its like almost clay doughy... Should I take her to a doctor or is this normal?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Now when our daughter poops, she strains a lot, but it's more of a solid poop since she is on more solid foods now.
My suggestion would be that if it constantly persists, like every day, then take her to the doctor.
Although I recommend confirming with your ped (and to answer any further questions he/she may have) but in my healthy infants who are having a tough time pooping, I will recommend a 1 ounce (oz) of prune juice mixed with 1 oz water twice a day to get the bowel movements moving.
Take care,
Dr. Jeremy
