im sure theres lot of theories on this one, so give me all ya got. i FINALLY just yesterday got my almost 5yr old to get rid of his binky. he only used it when he slept, but still, i hated it. i have a 9 month old and i DO NOT want to have another binky kid with him. right now he only uses it when he sleeps or naps, or if he needs something to chew on. (it seems like he is constantly teething) im afraid tho that if i dont get rid of it he will start to get more attached. he always has something in his mouth, a blankie, his shirt, a toe, he will suck and chew on anything. but when he sleeps if he doesnt have that binky in his mouth, you can forget about a nap. so, in your experiences, when is the best time to binky-wean, and what approach should i take? slow and steady or cold turkey? thanx so much!
