Hi--my 4 month old has been fighting a cough for a month now and I don't know what to do. 3 diff docs have given 3 diff diagnosises. I thought it was a cold around Thanksgiving...it got progressively worse over the holiday and he sounded like a barking seal so I took him to the doc to find out he had bronchitis! He was put on Augmentin at 3 mos...the antibiotic made thing better but he still had a light cough...well, the coughing came back and a couple weeks later, I took him back to the doc. My ped was on vaca so we saw a diff doc in the clinic--this guy thought allergies....well, it's progressed and a hacking cough...so over Christmas I took him to a THIRD doc in my parents' town. This doc said some type of sinus congestion and gave Cepfrozil (sp?) for 10 days. My baby is still not better. It varies between a wet and dry cough...but it sounds hacky. He had boogers in the beginning and a little bit now. I use the saline drops, humidifier, vicks, etc....any idea what this is?????
