Baby afraid of Daddy

I'm having a problem, my boyfriend and I are first time parents of a two month old boy, and all of the sudden our son is terrified of his Dad. At first, everything was fine. My boyfriend is wonderful with him, knows how to hold him, talk to him properly and everything, but for the last two weeks, he just screams bloody murder every time he goes near him. Its becoming a huge problem, has this happened to anyone else?
