My three week old son was diagnosed with reflux a week and a half ago and is on his second prescription (prevacid) because the first did'nt help. He's also on gas drops. He will not sleep during the day and screams all the time. None of the consoling methods work any more. Rocking, swaddling, shushing, etc....nothing helps. We have taken him to my chiropractor for adjustments because he had a traumatic birth but that's not helping either. He also acts like he's hungry all the time. I am feeding him every 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours during the day but he tends to fall asleep after only a few minutes of sucking and I cannot wake him up enough to get him to feed well enough...until I stop feeding him. I rub his feet, change his diaper halfway through feeding - all the tricks in the book. Once I stop feeding, he wakes up and screams some more. I have read and tried everything with no success. I have also read that "colicky" babies may stay fussy until their third month. I don't think we will make it that long. Me and Daddy are about as stressed as we can get. Any help would be appreciated.
