I also loved the halloween specials, like chralie brown and grafiled. Not too mention the pumpkin carving.
Also when i was little we used to knock at the door and then wait for the door to open before we siad trick or treat. Here in calgary they all scream at the top of thier lungs and never knock. Is this how its done anywhere else? It drives me nuts. So i got a noise activated spider to scare the kids at the door a litte. When it hears a noise it shoots down a string and its eyes light up.
On Halloween: We always go to a friends house with several other families, we have an early dinner with the kids (and drinks for the adults) and then we trick-or-treat on some of the best streets in Santa Monica.
After Halloween: The switch witch visits and everyone is left a happy camper.
