I'm not sure how to deal with this. I constantly hear from my 8 year old & 5 1/2 year old step daughters - "I'm hungry". They may have had a meal less then an hour ago - they may have finished it and had 2nds, but still they are hungry. Other times they eat most of their meal and say they are full and don't want to finish - which I can understand better then when they say it. Now my 5 1/2 year old son is doing it. I do not know if they are really hungry, if they are just wanting something different, or if they are bored. Its gotten to the point where every time we go out of the house they are hungry or thirsty and expect us to have brought a snack and drink for the car ride. I have tried having healthy snacks and that works but this "mobile refrigerator" thing is really driving me nuts. Do other parents take snacks every where they go for their "big kids"? I understand for very young ones but I feel like I have 3 infants that I need to carry bottles for every time we go to the store! I know kids have growth spurts too, but these growth spurts have been going on for 2 years now! Help!
