Hi! My name is Amanda and I am new to this whole online support thing. I am a single mother to a wonderful 7 year old daughter. She is my world and always has been. Her father has been in and out of her life. She loves him but she knows she can not depend on him. I started dating someone about a year ago and she adores him. Earlier this year she lost her nanny (father's mother) which was another constant person in her life. Every since then she has been extremley clingy to me. Every where I am she is. She refuses to spend the night away from home even with family. I love her more than anything but sometimes would like a break, of course I feel guilty when I feel that way, but I don't want her to think I am abandoning her. We have started counseling to try and help her with her fears and issue but it seems to be getting us no where. Just needing some advice if anyone else has been through this! Thanks for any advice!

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
