I'm only new to this community, and am really finding everyone's discussions and comments incredibly helpful. Thank you! So many people are saying they use music to help soothe and calm the panic. I know it's probably a personal choice, but I'm interested to know which music / artists you find most helpful? I'd like to expand my collection somewhat.
I personally like 'Macchu Picchu' by Rusty Crutcher (yes, that's his real name). I find that breathing meditation tapes actually induce panic attacks - as soon as I focus on the breath I find I want to yawn but can't, and then the panic starts.
Any suggestions?

I have noticed recently that when I feel an attack coming that I pat myself like you would a baby. Soft and steady. I recently found that David Bowie music calms me down some, silly as it sounds. I also listen to Celtic rock.
