Hey gang, I just wanted to share this with you because I hadn't heard of it before a couple of weeks ago. I'm seeing a new doc and he said we need to think of some other things to try with me since traditional thinking wasn't working. He drew a blood test on me, thinking perhaps I was an 'overmethylator,' as they often suffer from extreme anxiety/panic. Sure enough, the results came back and I have an undetectable histamine level and a high copper to zinc ratio. People who are overmethylators tend to not respond to SSRI treatment. To me...this was such great news. I'm getting ready to finish the next part of the test (simple urine and saliva test) and then we will put a game plan together. It's such a simple blood test, but I think most docs are too quick to just write for some pills rather than really check to see if there is something going on to cause problems. Please, if you find yourself in my situation, or if you are just curious, ask your doc to check your histamine, copper, and zinc. Who knows??? I had to share it because as much research as I have done, I never heard of this, and wanted to make sure others know about it as well.

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
