When iam having a panic attack or anxiety attack everything seems speeded up. I feel like someone is choking me...like i need to run...hide, get away. My heart races like ive had 25 cups of coffee. Usually i cry as well during the "peak" of the attack..but its different than when iam depressed. Its like if I have heard the worst news in the world and everything is falling apart. The most dominating emotion at this point is terror, fear, horror. I completely come apart. Then usually within a couple of hours the "peak" subsides. Most of the time I will be ok for a few days or even a week or more.
Anyways thats how it is with me. Sometimes there is a trigger..like something happening or a situation the iam afraid of.
It is different for almost everyone.
