So, I have had panic attacks for almost a year now. Two months ago I went to the doctor and was put on a weight management program, birth control and ordered a sleep study. He thinks my weight, horomones and sleep are my problems. So, I've been counting calories for the past two months and have lost about 12 pounds (without even exercising). I am back on birth control, which he said will make me gain weight so I am surprised I have even lost as much as I have. And, then the sleep study. My doctor thinks I am hypoxic, which means I don't get enough oxygen to my brain while I am sleeping. I get my results back in a week or so. I am anxious to see if a sleep disorder is what has been causing my anxiety. I have developed a new symptom of anxiety, difficulty swallowing. It is really unpleasant and does not only happen when I am trying to eat. Anyone experince same symptom or have had a sleep study because of anxiety/panic attacks?
