Hi,
I am new to the site and just want to ask everyone..how long this lasts? I am so tired and scared. I can't seem to sleep, I awake in the middle of the night..hot scared and coughing..like I am choking
I was at a seminar today and had to leave because i became hot, lightheaded and could just feel my chest tightening..I literally want to rip off my skin and run for the nearest exit..which I pretty much did( the running part)..then took a 1/2 ativan had someone take me home and just lay on the sofa and cryed my eyes out. Just a questions..will this end?
Thank you
Cin

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I want to say something that will make you feel better, but the truth is it's hard to say how long it will last. I've had it for 14 years, but I have to say it's not as bad as it had been. It's a matter of finding the right counselor, medications, supplements, etc. Try practicing breathing deeply from your diaphragm...this really helps. The Ativan is nice, but very addicting. I'mon it as well. Take it for the short term, but please don't take it for longer than a couple months. The tremensoud feelings you are having, wanting to jump out of your skin, etc., will get better. I promise. Breathing really helps with that. Also, you might want to try some calming oils that you can put in a tissue to inhale. (I love that) Listening to subliminal CDs regarding anxiety can also be helpful. If you ever need to talk, please feel free to contact me. I know where you are with this, and I would have given anything for someone to have understood me 14 years ago. I would have loved to have known there was hope. There IS hope. We just have to get you breathing right, watch your caffeine, etc. So many things to try! Good luck to you.
Anything you have to say is helpful. I am at a point now that I am beginning to think that I have some serious disease that is making me feel like I can't breathe..truth is that when I relax I can breathe..doesn't stop me from thinking that way though and I think it just makes everything even worse..does this make any sense..because it makes little sense to me:) At any rate..thank you so much for talking with me. I so appreciate it!

Good luck and please don't hesitate to ask if you have any other questions.
Good luck!
