Take care,
Tracey
I have lived with similar thoughts on a consistant basis for 20 plus years.
I take medication that offers a great deal of help.
I still have the occasional PA "out of the blue".
It is easy for some people out here to say " Oh well yoyu just have to "ride it out" or "with th e right mindset you can do it".
Bullshit.
I am a nurse who can't work anymore and have times when I can't walk out my front door.
There is no cure.
There also is no one thing that works for everyone or we wouldn't be here bitching about it.
I dislike some of the commeents that have been left here for this woman.
It isn't okay to give false hope. Several people say ..."Oh if you just ....."
C'mon.......if you just what?
Or " I had PA for several months years back......
Again...C'mon.
tmedford-
I truly know whatit's like to be in your shoes.
It can't be wished away and there are only treatments that can make it more tolerable. Ask your doc about the use of nefazadone?
Nothing worked for me....then I tried this...it isn't for most people...but it helped me to live a more normal life.
Some of the people here are saying..."if you are strong enough or if you really want it........Geez....it is tough enough dealing with people that are totally uninformed about this....but to here it minimized and made casual by people who believe they have suffered because they had a PA for "six months?
Please.
Anyone can get better. But it isn't about how strong you are. It is about doing your own research and finding what works for you.....
Best of luck in your quest to get better. Until there is a cure? The most anyone can hope for is a treatment of whatever origin....if it works for you.
