I've noticed many people here have taken Celexa. I'm wondering if I'm alone on this one. I took Celexa for about 4 days back in 2005, to combat a severe nervous breakdown. Man, what a huge mistake. Apparently, I'm one of very, very few people to have a bad allergic reaction. My limbs were on fire, I could not sleep or stay still, I thought for sure I was dieing. I couldn't stop hyperventilating. My mother called her psych, and he looked up on his PDA that for a very small fraction of people, it can have potentially deadly allergic responses. I quit cold turkey, and it took me about 5 days to get back to normal. I thought I wasn't going to make it.
