My daughter has OCD, she also has panic attacks often associated with an obsessional thought. We have managed to keep her off of meds for the OCD, and use Behavioral therapy. This has been pretty successful, but now we are dealing with panic attacks. So far we use relaxation techniques (breathing exercises, visualization etc.. ), but I am wondering if we should try meds for the panic attacks? Is there a fast acting med one can take during an attack? What about a placebo? any thoughts on this?
