I was in the hospital for 10 days. I was admitted with pancreatitis. Then my liver enzymes shot up to 865! They said I have a bacterial infection and am scheduled to have an ERCP which I think is the duct between the liver and pancreas. I am having a pain in the upper right side by ribs today and am kind of scared. I had my gallbladder removed in July and was sick for at least 8 weeks afterwards. Can anyone tell me if they've had a bacterial infection in that area or heard of the Sphinter of Oddi?? I'm so scared that the infection will spread and I have never had any liver problems before though I had one or two pancreatitis attacks.
