I am a 39 year old female that has been suffering with AP attacks for three years now. The Dr.s have ran every test in the world it seems with no answers. I have had scopes, ultra sounds, cat scans with and without contrast,Internal ultra sound, Had Gall bladder removed (scars),Hida Scan (normal), on Enzymes with every meal, and have had 4 attacks that land me in the hospital from 4-8 days at a time.My numbers running as high as 9,000 Although no stones,I was told that having my gallbladder out should be the cure all but here I am a month later and having pain everytime I eat. I eat very low fat, maybe 20-30 grams of fat a day. I do not drink or smoke and I have never been a drinker. My pain usually starts in the center and then radiates to the left ribcage and sometimes to my back. I have noticed stress can set things off, but life has stress..what can you do. My question is, is there anyone else out there that has gone through all of these steps and still having no answers? I would love someone to talk to that has been through this. The next step if I end up in the hospital again is an ERCP. My Dr. is trying to avoid it if at all possible because the chances are too high it will throw me into a bad attack. I also do not take anything for pain. Thanks.
