I know, my mother went through it. It sounds like she is at home. Do you have hospice care or can you get it? If not, she should probably be in a hospital so they can manage her pain. If she wants to be at home then that doctor should be giving her something that will keep her comfortable. Call him and demand it. She shouldn't have to suffer like that. I will pray for you and your mom. I'm so sorry.

My mother had to be on morphine and fentanyl patch it had to be strong stuff, it basically sedaded her, but it was so much better than having her suffer. I know how you feel, you don't want them to suffer and it hurts so bad to see them hurting. You should demand stronger stuff from your doctor. Our doctor also had talked about a nerve block but I don't know much about that.

My mother passed away 6/6/07 from pancreatic cancer. She was in the hospital and on a steady morphine drip and adavan--they said that she was no longer in pain. To learn more about pancreatic cancer--the websit www.pancan.org is a great website. My prayers are with you.

My husband passed away after the cancer spread to his liver. He slipped into a 'liver coma' which actually had a sedating effect on him, so I don't believe he felt any pain when he died. Before that though, he was on the fentynal patches and took ativan and dilaudid for pain. The oral dilaudid did not work as well as the injection, though. It is a nasty cancer!!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
