The heart is a hollow, muscular organ in vertebrates responsible for pumping blood through the blood vessels by repeated, rhythmic contractions, or a similar structure in annelids, mollusks, and arthropods.
I just joined this group and wanted to say Hi. I am 38 years old, have 3 boys and I am a full time cook in a large restaurant and a full time student. After the birth of my youngest son, I was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy. My doc said my heart is good though. With the meds I am taking it keeps things fairly stable. The doc told me that since I got my heart condition from having my son, my heart would more than likely go back to almost normal. That was eight years ago. My last echo said my output was at 55% and said that it was within a normal range. With meds and what not I try to take good care of myself so that I will be around for a very long time for my kids.
I was told I have emphysema. I have had had several episodes of exhasterbations. I take inhalers, I get dizzy, feel lump in my chest and feel my heart beat in my chest. I cough up very little phlem. ( I thought you have lots of phlem) Sometimes I get a little off balance. Is this all symptoms of emphysema?
