For one thing, you need to eat things that are rich in Vitamin D, Vitamin C. You should take supplements with iron, but make SURE they have Vitamin D with iron! Drink milk and eat dairy products, i.e. cheese, yogurt, cottage cheese, etc. There are many vitamin C and vitamin D rich products. Get some sun too ~ but watch that you aren't overdoing it, as skin cancer is something we have to be careful of. You should be walking and doing some weight bearing exercises ~ as much as you can tolerate.
You should ask your doctor what else you should be doing. Not knowing the extent of your osteoporosis, it's hard to advise. I would think that it would be minimal. Also, I think I would get a SECOND OPINION. God bless, and take care. Hugs, Lee
