Hello. I am new to the group, actually I didn't know there was one until I saw it on someones profile.I have had osteoarthritis for several years. I had a total right hip replacement in Mar of 06.I can't believe what a change it has made in the way I feel. The pain that I was having before was almost more than I could bear. The cartilage in my hip was completly worn away and the bones were rubbing together.I had to use a cane to get around. It hurt so bad that I could hardly stand long enough to do dishes.I am so thankful that I was able to hsve it done. I still have pain in my knees when I go up or down steps. I have arthritis in them also.At the moment I can't do anything about them now. It is good that this group is here.
