I'm hoping to be a live kidney donor in the near future. What's holding me back now is a high BMI (32) and I am 7mo's pregnant. I can lose the weight---it's no problem to get it under 25. I need to anyway. I'm scared though that having gestational hypertension could cause a problem. I've never had hypertension except for during pregnancy and it's been controlled well with medication. I'm still concerned it will effect my eligibility to donate however. Also, I was wondering how much testing is involved with trying to find a match. Is it mostly just blood work? And how long is recovery time after donating? What are the chances that I could be match to someone who shares my blood type....I know there are other factors in matching but I don't know what they are. I know that's a lot of questions, but if you know any of the answers please let me know. Thanks! :D

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
