my oldest son(11) will flip out at the littlest request like please take your toys out of the living room. he gets so angry over tiny things. he will beat his head into the wall for being sent to his room. he was diagnosed with ocd and anxiety about 4-5 years ago, but of course didn't show the anger side to the counseller. now my 5 year old is doing the same thing. no to a piece of gum or some toy will create a huge tantrum that can last up to 5-6 hours. i don't know how i keep any sanity. i have lost all control over the parenting situation and am having a hard time trying to get it back. i have taken several parenting courses through my sons preschool to try to help myself learn a different approach to the kids, but nothing seems to work for long.
