I'm new here and looking for support. My 5 year old daughter is our of control. We have finally sought help for her after excusing her outragious behaviour as "strong-willed". We now see she can't help herself. We are on a wait-list to see a therapist/behaviouralist. 3-4 months. Any advice on effective coping strategies for parents? I have read 1-2-3 Magic, Love & Logic, etc. and it seems our darling ODD child doesn't respond to these techniques. I guess I just need to know I'm not alone in this. My friends and family seem to think it's us as parents and our personalities don't "get along". What??? Do you have a child with ODD??
