Hello, i need some advice for my husband and i to try and help our 7 yr old Josh to stop playing with lighters, matches..The other night Josh was just playing in his room and my husband went in there to give him his bedtime meds, and right away he could smell something burning...we found out that Josh stole a box of matches and had them hiding in his room..All he was doing was lighting the matches and watching them burn then blowing them out...We have sat Josh down and told him the danger's of playing with matches and lighters, he just doesn't care..The matches were ours but we had them way up in a high cupboard where we didn't think he knew where they were, but obviously he does so we've had to rearrange things around to distract him..We did this when he was in school, so by the time he came home he had no clue that this went on...Just wondering if any of you have had to go through this and could offer some advice as to how we should deal with this..It really bother's me that Josh doesn't care, but i don't know how to make him care and understand!
