Hi there.. I have a 13 year old who has been diagnosed with Bipolar however I have been reading alot about ODD and this actually sounds alot like her behavior, although so many of these conditions seem so run together for me so I am confused!
In any case, she has been on lithium for several weeks and was taking Welbutrin which seemed to make her more aggressive. I talked to her pdoc about Abilify and he tried that with her on Wednesday night and Thursday she had a low grade fever and was throwing up all day. Has anyone had any experience with Abilify or that side effect?

I never had that problem, my son saw things that were not there. Like a big bunny rabbit in his room, and kept telling us the apartment was on fire. He did sleep while he was on it too.

Yap..er!We started my daughter on Abilify a baby dose she threw up stomach acks and head acks she could not eat.So we took her off for 4 days and re-started her back on them. NO SIDE effets 2nd time. BUT they did nt seem to help uped the dose and she is fine.But she does not know we uped the dose b/c than she wld hv side effects.Works good so far and hs been 2 weeks.she wants them to work she is tired of the draining episodes.

Forgot by the way she is 14 so don't give up on the Abilify.But if need be there are other meds.I just didn't want to chance another med.
