Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.
Treated for other disorders, but sure its OCD too

Hi all,
Right now I'm at a tricky place, I feel like something isn't write with treatments that I'm going through. Currently I have been diagnosed with depression, bipolar, ADD and acute anxiety. I agree with them all, like I do see these in myself.
But lately I've been thinking about OCD, I definately have the obsessive thoughts, I can convince my self that I have left something on or didn't unplug something, I have to triple check things, if somethingg is out of place I will say to myself no thats not bothering you then I will obsess about it till I fix whatever it is. I hate having to have everything perfect and I find my self makingg sure everything is in line even when I'm at a store. If something is just not right then I will be freaking out inside until I fix it. I always have to hit certain buttons in my car when I start driving becaues if I don't it will drive me nuts..
ok the more I think about it the more I realize its affecting me.
Im wondering, has anyone else been treated for other disorders and then come to find out that it is OCD? I'm planning on really talking to my doctor about it next time I see him but just wanted to get some insight from others who may have experienced.
Thanks :)

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
What caught my eye about your inquiry is the car thing- when I get into the car- I have too start it in a very certain way- I always work left to right (seatbelt first then check gas then put in drive. you know?) And I cant do it any other way! If I did do it a different way itd bug the hell out of me but I choose to pick battles with myself: the car things not causing me any distress like some other things do (or used to) so I just let it go. Dont get preoccupied with disorders. Arent you tired of fighting with yourself? Focus on living life freely in the happiest way possible. Hope this helps!
