Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.

Befor i joined this group not to long ago i thought the things i felt, seen, did, hear, and think were just my imagination and that their were not to many ppl in this world that did the same thing.
Then i joined this group and i am finding more and more ppl who are just like me not with the same ocd's i have perhaps but were all the same as far as this ocd goes..
I have gotten so much insight on this group with helpful hints(and i tell you even a tiny hint is helpful). With so much love pouring from everyone on here for the rest of us who have ocd.
I am on other groups in this site but i find this one the most interesting and helpful one of them all. PPl are friendly and so willing to help with their hints which they have done and worked and ppl are not afraid on this group to "tell it like it is"..
Thanks everyone on this group for helping not only yourself but others along the way of ocd and exspecially the newbies of the group with ocd.
I am sure others on here feel the same as myself with this group.

I also feel like I have gotten a little better since joining this community. It helps knowing that you are not alone.

to be honest i havent really put alot of input in any of the discussions but i did use to think that i was a freak for having o.c.d and i remember trying to explain to my freinds my rituals and why i had to do them and just getting a look like i was a freak lol it's good to be able to speak to other people with o.c.d so hopefully i'll be leaving more comments and what not soon:)

I always thought my OCD tendancies were normal because I was raised by a mother with OCD. It wasn't until I went to college and had roommates that I realized that not everyone thought or did things the way I did.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
