I am stuck, I don't know what to do, I have ocd, obviously and am taking currently 50 mg of Luvox, I am starting to see a little bit of a difference but nothing too drastic. I am currently seeing a therapist but I don't believe she SPECIALIZES in ocd. My uncle who is a psychologist has said the effective treatment to ocd is meds and cognitive behavior therapy and also exposure response prevention. I really like my therapist, I can tell her all my ocd symptoms, problem is my uncle is saying if shes not SPECIFICALLY trained in ocd then in the long run it won't be so effective for me, I am stuck, I don't do well at all with change, and I don't want a new therapist, but the one I have now is not doing a whole lot with cbt and exposure response prevention, I live in NH, anyone know any good people that do cbt and exposure response prevention that could help me, or I just need advice, if you were me and really felt comfortable with her, would you stick with her or go to an ocd specialist ??? someone help me, I just want to get BETTER !
