Is there anyone out there that feels worse when they talk about religion. Whenever I read anything from the bible or anything I always feel like I'm damned because of my OCD. I know many people find strength in prayer and the bible but for me it always seems to get worse. I need some advice

My OCD is pretty bad when it comes to religion. I have to pray every night. I constantly think is this what God wants me to do, but recently I have thought to myself, God knows I have OCD and he is understands. In a way I think I am a better person to God because I have OCD than if I was a person who didn't, because he knows I care. I hope this helps.

Are you in any kind of therapy for your OCD? I have a wonderful therapist and she takes a christian approach with my counseling and it is helpful to just discuss it with her. I dont know if this helps, I think OCD makes us much more suseptable to worries and doubts when it comes to our religious beliefs. Your not alone, I hope that helps:)!

I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...
