Hi everyone, My 11 year old daughter is being taken over by OCD. Several years ago it started. She had been sick with strep and then as soon as that cleared up, the OCD started. It began with obscessive handwashing and thoughts of an irrational nature, you had rituals like having to wear so many elastics on her wrist, etc. We took her to a phychologist and he helped her deal with it and over time, she had less issues. I am not saying it disappeared but it wasnt controlling her life. NOW IT IS. She is a preteen, and the OCD is back in a new way now. Last night she told her father and I that she wants to die. The thoughts that are continually playing in her head wont stop. She knows they are irrational and untrue but cant stop them. I am trying to find someone to see her but that could take a while. She said she just cant turn it off. Things like worrying that she is pregnant, gay, she did something she didnt do, etc. She knows all of it is ridiculous and untrue but it keeps playing over and over. How can I help her until she can see a professional? I encourage her to talk to me but I dont know really want to say that will be helpful to her. Thanks for listening and hopefully, giving me some tips to help her.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
