Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.

I have severe OCD.
My boyfriend thinks I can pet sit or something easy, but I just can't with my OCD, I have to re-check everything I do, it's all irrational fears that I have, it's a hellish nightmare for those who have OCD. He doesn't fully understand it. Sometimes in life you just can't work and that's ok. I left my other two jobs because of my OCD, and the one job for other reasons too, and all the checking over and over, it's truly a nightmare to live this way. If I would pet sit I would worry that I turned on their stove, water, make sure doors are locked, and mainly if the pets are ok, I would do this over and over, I have tried it before and it was hell.
All what I mentioned above is just a small part of my OCD, sometimes I start to gag from coughing or brushing my teeth or from drinking something, I can also throw up my meds or food while brushing my teeth, because my OCD tells me to gag one more time and that results in throwing up. Sorry to be so graphic. I have terrible thoughts about God and other's and have to pray ALL the time for forgiveness, and I try to be a Christian.
I put this in my journal too.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
