Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Support Group
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.

I have decided to start this discussion to try and get some advice for my sister. She has recently started Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. She just came back from her second session today and was very upset. The things she discussed with her therapist last week were discussed under the assumption that the information would be kept cofidential, however the therapist went off and decided to speak to someone else about her session. He told her today that he had shared her information given in confidence, and as a result she has lost all trust in him. I would just like to ask anyone who has had the same therapy, or anyone who knows the rules of confidentiality, if the therapist is actually allowed to share this information with others. I would appreciate any responses to this matter. Thank you.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Now the exception is if i was going to harm myself or wanted to do someone else in then she has the right to talk with others..
other then that she can't condife in anyone.
I think this therphist might have broke that law of confidental with her clinet i look into it...
And with her being so upset after she came back does not sound like the right thing was done.
