For those of you who read my initial post about my 10 year old son who is seriously overweight, I am just adding an update. My family has seriously stuck to and adapted to this new way of eating and living. As of last thursday, we have been going strong for 3 weeks. We have learned to take 100 calorie packs to movies instead of getting popcorn. We have also learned how to order in restaurants such as tgifridays right price right portion menu. My husband has lost 16 lbs. My daughter and I have lost 6 each, and my son has lost 6. He is so excited about his weight loss. He has been working out with my daughter and I on his own. I have not pushed that issue since he gets an hour of gym each day at school. He was so excited when he went hunting this past week and could zip his waders that he had previously been unable to zip. I am stressing moderation. For instance, he asked if he could have donuts at sunday school. I said sure but just have one. He did and then walked on the treadmill-his idea-that night for 15 minutes. We also found a website that we look at together at night that gives you the nutrtional info for your favorite restaurants and brands. Check it out-it's dietfacts.com-great site. Thanks all for listening-it helps stay the course just to express my thoughts :)

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
